The Solution

Hoonartek implemented the methodology now embedded in the DataTrail FinOps Module, replacing the bank’s manual processes with automated engineering visibility. Legacy manual interface documents were converted into a standardized, upload-ready metadata model through an Automated Interface Metadata Hub, eliminating the version control issues inherent in spreadsheet-based governance.

Business stakeholders were automatically linked to their respective technical data assets through an Ownership and Stakeholder Mapping framework integrated into the central Metadata Hub. Semantic discovery logic was deployed to identify duplicate datasets and circular lineage patterns that had been silently inflating the bank’s storage footprint. The result was a governance portal that allows any team to modify or publish new data interfaces rapidly, without manual coordination.
